Witch hazel

Witch hazel's numerous healing and care properties were already well known in pre-Columbian Indian culture. Witch hazel is a hardy shrub native to the American continent. Recently, it is increasingly being grown in gardens for ornamental purposes.

An excellent use of witch hazel is to prevent the formation of acne lesions, as well as skin discoloration. Used on acne-prone skin, restores its natural properties and pleasant appearance.

It has also been proven to have outstanding soothing effects and usefulness in healing superficial wounds, preventing inflammation and accompanying infections. The latter property, in turn, is due to its bactericidal properties. In addition, it helps inhibit excessive blood flow in cuts, a property that is used in anti-hemorrhagic agents. In care, it is valued for its astringent and firming properties. This allows the skin to maintain its youthful and vital appearance, as well as neutralize the effects of aging.

Preparations containing witch hazel have a refreshing and regenerating effect on the skin. Interestingly, the use of this plant helps to effectively fight dangerous Staphylococcus aureus infections.
