Beeswax

Beeswax, which is one of the oldest ingredients used in cosmetics, is a secretion of worker bees obtained by them after consuming large amounts of pollen and honey. It is used to build the nest combs used to store honey and raise the next generations.

Beeswax is mainly used in the production of creams, lotions, ointments, soaps and lipsticks. It usually occurs in flaky, natural or bleached form. The addition of beeswax to creams and lotions makes it easier to spread over the surface of the body and ensures that a protective filter is left on the skin.
