Beeswax

Beeswax, which is one of the oldest ingredients used in cosmetics, is a secretion of worker bees obtained by them after consuming large amounts of pollen and honey. It is used to build the nest combs used to store honey and raise the next generations.

Thanks to its rich content of carotenoids and polyunsaturated fatty acids, people began to use wax to make cosmetics. Strong moisturizing, lubricating and protective properties have been of great interest to manufacturers of natural cosmetics. Products with beeswax are especially recommended for people with a tendency to dry skin.

Beeswax is mainly used in the production of creams, lotions, ointments, soaps and lipsticks. It usually occurs in flaky, natural or bleached form. Intense, pleasant fragrance increases the value of cosmetics with its content. The addition of beeswax to creams and lotions makes it easier to spread over the surface of the body and ensures that a protective filter is left on the skin. In turn, the hair becomes shiny and smooth.
