Glycerin is a long-known moisturizer with a characteristic sweet smell. It is obtained by saponification of vegetable fats, mainly coconut fat.
Glycerin has incomparable hygroscopic properties, which are responsible for its remarkable moisturizing effect. It has the ability to penetrate into the deepest layers of the epidermis, where it regulates proper cell hydration and restoration of the top layers of tissue. In addition, it supports the function of skin lipids, which prolongs the effect of hydration and has a positive effect on skin elasticity and firmness. Restores natural softness after the drying effect of ethanol on our hands.
Glycerin also has additional functions in cosmetics. This is because it prevents the product from drying out too much, while giving it a pleasant texture. Cosmetics with glycerin spread easily and do not roll out after application.
