Arnica montana

Mountain arnica, also known by its common names: mountain cucumber, mountain pomander, mountain trank, is found in the mountainous and foothill areas of Europe. It is a perennial plant, producing pitted leaves and usually a single stem.

Arnica's active substances are easily absorbed through the epidermis, reaching the capillaries, on which they have a strengthening effect, and also promote the resorption of exudate fluid when their walls are damaged.

Arnica flower oil is especially recommended for skin care and for use on post-traumatic swelling, bruises, varicose ulcers of the lower extremities, phlebitis, first and second degree burns, inflammation of the mouth and gums.

Arnica is also recommended for muscle pain that occurs after intense physical exertion.
