Keratin

Keratin is a protein, which is the building block of skin, hair and nails, containing significant amounts of sulfur amino acids. In the cosmetics industry, proteins find essential use in skin and hair care. A significant part of the proteins contained in cosmetic preparations are products of hydrolysis of natural proteins - so they are natural ingredients.

The breakdown of proteins produces proteins with smaller molecules, much better absorbed by the skin and hair.

Keratin is the main building block of the hair shaft and cuticle, which is produced in hair follicles. Also, the interior of the hair is made up of keratin fibers, which are responsible for the elasticity of the hair. Keratin is also part of the hair's outer sheath layer, the completeness of which determines the hair's healthy appearance and shine. Its proper structure prevents hair from splitting, as well as excessive hair breakage.
